Day of Caring 2011

 

On Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16 the Schuylkill United Way hosted the 3rd Annual Day of Caring.  Over 115 volunteers came together to complete 15 community service projects for 10 of the 15 Schuylkill United Way partner agencies. 

A very special thank you to Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., Alfred Benesch, Evan's Delivery, Gordon Food Service, Immix Wireless, Kiwanis Club, Lowe's RDC 961, M&T Bank, McCann School of Business & Technology, Parente Beard,  PPL Electric Utilities, Republican Herald, Rotary Club, SAPA, Susquehanna Bank, Team Orwigsburg, Tobash Insurance and Wegmans Retail Service Center for volunteering to make the event possible. 

 

Agencies who participated include Avenues, Boy Scouts of America/Hawk Mountain Council, Child Development, Inc., Pottsville Salvation Army, Tamaqua Salvation Army, Schuylkill County Society for Crippled Children, Schuylkill Wellness Services, Schuylkill Women in Crisis, Schuylkill YMCA, and SARCC

 

At the Schuylkill United Way, we are dedicated to providing funding, guidance, and encouragement to our 15 partner agencies and what better way to encourage them, than by reaching out a helping hand!
