What is Day of Caring?

This year, over 185 volunteers came together to complete 21 community service projects including projects for 9 of the 15 Schuylkill United Way partner agencies. 

This years volunteers from Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., Alfred Benesch, Gordon Food Service, Immix Wireless, Kiwanis Club, Lowe's RDC 961, M&T Bank, Mrs. T's , Parente Beard,  PPL Electric Utilities, Rotary Club, students from the Schuylkill IU 29, Susquehanna Bank, Team Orwigsburg, Tobash Insurance, Walmart DC #7030, Wegmans Retail Service Center, Wells Fargo and Yuengling Brewery to make the event possible. 

 

Agencies who participated include Avenues, Boy Scouts of America/Hawk Mountain Council, Child Development, Inc., Pottsville Salvation Army, Tamaqua Meals on Wheels, Tamaqua Salvation Army, Schuylkill Wellness Services, Schuylkill Women in Crisis, and Schuylkill YMCA.

 

At the Schuylkill United Way, we are dedicated to providing funding, guidance, and encouragement to our 15 partner agencies and what better way to encourage them, than by reaching out a helping hand!
